Krista O’Rourke

Krista O’Rourke is the driving force behind Pinnacol Assurance's dynamic agent partnerships and commitment to safer workplaces for all workers. As Vice President of Sales and Safety Services, O’Rourke is responsible for leading and managing sales distribution and developing Pinnacol’s partnerships with agents – a stakeholder group that is crucial to Pinnacol’s business model and success. She oversees the planning of sales strategy and initiatives, working to build and expand Pinnacol’s distribution channels and provide industry-leading products and services to meet the future needs of our agents and customers. In this position, O’Rourke also sets the strategic direction for the safety services team, with a focus on keeping Pinnacol’s customers safe and healthy.

O’Rourke joined Pinnacol in 2013 as a Business Director and was promoted to Associate Vice President of Underwriting in 2016, where she was instrumental in leading Pinnacol’s efforts to improve the digital experience for agents, including enhancements to the Agent Portal, and launching straight-through processing in the Agent Quote system. Prior to joining Pinnacol, she spent 18 years in national program sales with top national insurance brokers. O’Rourke has a deep understanding of agency operations and agent/carrier partnerships. Active in the industry, O’Rourke serves on the Pinnacol Foundation Board of Directors, the Advisory Council for the Risk Management and Insurance program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School, and the board of the Colorado chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.

She remains a licensed property and casualty agent and has held the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation for over 20 years. A graduate of the University of Colorado Denver with a bachelor's degree in communication, she loves being outdoors, golf, and spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren.
