Pinnacol Employees Unite as a Force for Good for Community-Wide Volunteer Day

Denver, CO – Aug. 6, 2024 – Pinnacol Assurance, a leading provider of workers' compensation insurance in Colorado, held its first-ever all-employee volunteer day today.  Nearly 500 Pinnacol employees participated in various volunteer projects, demonstrating the company's commitment to community service and social impact.

"This volunteer day is about more than just lending a helping hand; it's about strengthening our bonds as a team and fostering deeper connections with our community. We are honored to have served Colorado for nearly 110 years and this is our way of giving back and saying thank you."

Pinnacol employees volunteered at a variety of organizations across Colorado, including:

  • A Precious Child: Supporting children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential.   
  • Denver Health:  Supporting newborns in need and providing children a healthy start in life by providing essentials that help them grow strong.
  • Colorado Veterans Project: Assisting veterans and their families in overcoming challenges and accessing essential services.
  • Denver Rescue Mission: Providing shelter, food, and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Food Bank of the Rockies: Helping to fight hunger and food insecurity by sorting and distributing food donations.
  • Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver: Participating in the construction of affordable housing for families in need.

Pinnacol's commitment to social responsibility extends beyond this single volunteer day. The company regularly supports various community initiatives and encourages its employees to volunteer their time and talents to make a difference. Pinnacol has been hosting Pinnacol in Action volunteer events for more than two decades, totaling more than 80,000 employee volunteer hours over the years. In addition, Pinnacol hosts an annual Employee Giving Campaign in which last year, 86% of Pinnacol employees voluntarily donated a record-breaking $322,021 to nonprofits in their community through direct donations and employer matching.
