Pinnacol named a 2023 top workplace in Colorado by the Denver Post
Insurer placed fifth in the Large Employer category
DENVER — May 2, 2023 — Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado’s largest workers’ compensation carrier, has been awarded a 2023 Top Workplaces honor by The Denver Post. This is the seventh consecutive year Pinnacol has received the award. In recent years, the Denver Post has named Pinnacol the top large employer in the state and top employer for work/life balance. Pinnacol also received a special award this year indicating Pinnacol scored the highest among all employers for managers caring about employee concerns.
The award is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The anonymous survey measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, connection, leadership and performance.
Pinnacol has operated in Colorado for more than 107 years and employs approximately 650 people. It is well known for its nationally-recognized work-based youth apprenticeship program, employee-focused culture, community support, mission-driven approach, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Pinnacol has also recently won awards for its DE&I program, operational excellence and financial stability. The organization’s mission-driven culture is also reflected in its record-setting state injured worker satisfaction scores and industry-leading customer satisfaction ratings.
