Workers’ comp leader’s counsel nominated, judged by national peers in legal community
DENVER — Jan. 30, 2019 — Legal experts from corporations including Abercrombie & Fitch, Monsanto and other national and international companies honored Pinnacol Assurance chief legal and corporate resources officer Terrence “Terry” Leve with the OnCon Icon “Trailblazer of the Year” award on Jan. 19. Leve was chosen over general counsels representing DHL and USA Track and Field, among other organizations, for the distinction.
The Trailblazer award is awarded to an attorney who “exhibits the most innovation, pioneering spirit and successful creativity” in their field.

Providing advice and counsel to Pinnacol’s board of directors and senior managers on legal, governance and corporate matters, Leve also manages Pinnacol’s legal services, subrogation, compliance, special investigations, facilities and corporate services functions.
Leve has more than 25 years of legal experience and is the recipient of the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell highest possible attorney rating of AV® Preeminent™. He is a National Association of Corporate Directors governance fellow and was general counsel for the State of Tennessee’s Division of Health Care Finance and Administration before joining the Pinnacol executive team. He is also a two-time winner of First Chair’s Top General Counsel award.
Currently, Leve serves as a board member of the Colorado Civil Justice League and as an executive board member on the Boy Scouts of America’s Denver Area Council. He previously served on both the Bonfils Blood Center Board of Trustees and Tennessee’s Williamson County Board of Education.
